Booking, payment and cancellation
This website does not take bookings or payments directly. Bookings are made through our listings on Booking.com and Airbnb, and are subject to that platform's terms and payment policies. Booking directly by email is only available if you have stayed with us at 2bb before. In that case, payment can be made by bank transfer, card/SoftPOS, or another method we agree with you. Cancellation terms are shown before you pay and included in your confirmation email. Please contact us directly for any changes to your stay.
Booking and communication data
When you book through Booking.com or Airbnb, we receive your booking details from the platform, such as your name, contact details, stay dates and any special requests, so we can prepare for your stay and communicate with you. We do not ask for or store photos or ID/passport details as part of the booking. The legal basis is the performance of your accommodation contract with us. If you send us an enquiry that does not lead to a booking, we use your details only to reply to you, based on our legitimate interest in serving people who contact us.
Providers and recipients
Your details may be processed, on our behalf and as part of providing services to 2bb, by: - Hosthub, as our booking management software (channel manager), which gathers booking details from Booking.com and Airbnb. - Bluebell Hospitality Management, which manages the properties on our behalf and has access to Hosthub, Booking.com/Airbnb and our @2bb.gr email for communicating with you, welcoming you and supporting you. - The provider of our @2bb.gr email. - An external accounting firm, as a recipient of the strictly necessary details, under its contractual and lawful professional role. Booking.com and Airbnb, as well as any bank or payment provider you use for a direct payment, process your data as independent data controllers, for their own services and in line with their own privacy policies.
Guestbook
Taking part in the Guestbook is entirely optional. To confirm your stay, we use the email address and booking details you send us. This information is never published. Only the details, message and photos you have explicitly consented to are published. The legal basis for publication is your consent. Non-published information used to verify the stay is deleted no later than 90 days after the entry is approved or rejected and, in all cases, no later than 120 days after it is received. Your published message and approved photos remain in the Guestbook until you ask us to remove them. You may withdraw your consent at any time and request that your message, details or photos be corrected or removed, by emailing guestbook@2bb.gr. Withdrawing consent does not affect the lawfulness of processing carried out before the withdrawal.
Video surveillance
For the protection of people and property, a video surveillance system operates exclusively at the entrance, the pilotis, the underground garage, the shared corridors and the staircase. It does not cover the lift, the apartments, private terraces or the jacuzzis. No audio is recorded. The legal basis for this processing is 2bb's legitimate interest in protecting people and property. Access to the footage is restricted to a specifically authorised person at 2bb. Footage is kept for up to 15 days and then automatically deleted. It is kept for longer only when a specific incident has been recorded, and only for as long as needed to investigate it or to establish, exercise or defend legal claims.
Technical operation of the site
The website does not use advertising tracking pixels or a contact form that stores data on a server. It uses analytics tools to measure visits (Plausible Analytics & Umami), as described in detail in the next section. It also uses only one piece of local storage on your device (localStorage), named "2bb_lang", to remember the language you have chosen. This information stays on your device and is never sent to us. The website is hosted through Firebase Hosting. When you access the website, the hosting provider processes the strictly necessary technical data, such as your IP address, to deliver and secure the service, in accordance with its current terms and privacy policy. This data is kept only for as long as needed for the operation and security of the service, in accordance with the provider's current terms.
Traffic statistics (Plausible Analytics & Umami)
Our website uses two traffic-analysis services designed to run without cookies: Plausible Analytics and Umami. Neither tool uses cookies, and neither stores a persistent visitor identifier on your device. Plausible calculates a unique-visitor numeric code instantly from your IP address and other technical details of your visit, changing daily; your original IP address and User-Agent are not stored by Plausible as identifying information. Umami calculates a similar code from your IP address, User-Agent and technical details of the visit, which rotates periodically according to Umami's own documentation. Umami also has an optional `identify()` feature, which could be used to link additional details to statistical data; this feature is not used anywhere on the website. We only collect the necessary aggregated statistics, from both tools: page views, popular pages, approximate country or region of origin, device type, and traffic source/referrer. We also record the following events with both tools, with no personal information at all: apartment selection, clicks on Booking.com/Airbnb, clicks on contact details (only the contact method is recorded, phone/WhatsApp/Viber/email, never your actual number or email address), language changes, and visits to the Guest Guide. We never intentionally send either tool your name, email, phone number, message content, or booking details. We do not use our own persistent visitor identifier, and our own implementation does not build an advertising or cross-site profile of visitors. Plausible's traffic data is processed and stored within the European Union, on European infrastructure; the primary data storage is located in Germany. Under the current Umami Cloud Hobby plan, statistical data is retained for up to 6 months, according to the account's current setting/description; this may change if the plan changes. Both tools operate without cookies and without a persistent visitor identifier on your device. For this reason, we do not use a consent banner specifically for this statistical measurement.
Retention periods
Booking details and related correspondence: up to 5 years after the end of your stay, or longer only if required by a tax or legal obligation or for a pending claim. Enquiries that do not lead to a booking: up to 12 months. Non-published Guestbook details: up to 90 days after the entry is approved or rejected, and in all cases no later than 120 days after receipt. Published content: until you ask us to remove it. Video surveillance footage: up to 15 days. It is kept for longer only when a specific incident has been recorded, and only for as long as needed to investigate it or to establish, exercise or defend legal claims. Accounting and tax records: for as long as required by applicable law, at least 5 years from the end of the relevant period. Website hosting technical data: only for as long as needed for the operation and security of the service, in accordance with the provider's current terms.
Rights and contact
You have the right to access, rectify, erase and restrict the processing of your personal data, as well as the right to object and to data portability, where these apply depending on the legal basis of each processing activity and any legal retention obligations that apply to us. You can exercise your rights or submit any request by emailing info@2bb.gr. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Hellenic Data Protection Authority if you believe the processing of your data breaches the law.
